The Levitt Lab was born out of a parent and educator’s deep dissatisfaction with the education system.
After decades of teaching, Dr. Steven Levitt, renowned economist and co-author of the best-selling Freakonomics book series, observed a troubling trend: His students’ obsession with grades and accolades often came at the expense of their curiosity and intrinsic motivation to learn. This concern became personal when he saw his own children struggle in traditional educational settings.
Levitt set out to re-imagine education and founded TLL based on a simple principle: when student engagement and curiosity are prioritized, academic success follows. At The Levitt Lab, it is essential that learning is fun. Our students are empowered to explore their intrinsic passions.
